KYMCO R&D Centre spent three years developing the brad new 700 c.c. Liquid-cooled fuel injected engine and develop the 3 position electrical adjustable rear suspension system, which gives riders the ability to select and adjust the suspension to suit the road conditions. The ABS system will automatically be applied under emergency braking, to enhance further safety for high speed riding.

Development Concept

Design with the European and American markets in mind, the MYROAD 700i is a large capacity, touring scooter.

    1.    High performance liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine, provides excellent acceleration and power to maximize riding enjoyment.

    2.    Long wheelbase, coupled with luxurious design, demonstrates the flagship model's elegant style.

    3.    RFDI system provides sensor ignition and a convenient anti-theft function.

    4.    ABS system will automatically be applied under emergency braking and has the ability to efficiently bring the scooter to rest.

    5.    The "Tire Pressure Monitor system" prevents the risk of riding with incorrect tire pressure.

    6.    Powerful headlamps, with high intensity LED tail lamp provide safe and stylish illumination.

    7.    Three position electrical adjustable rear suspension system for riding on different road conditions.

    8.    Large capacity under seat storage accommodates tow full-face helmets. In addition the front glove box provides useful space.

    9.    Luxurious and comfortable seat for long-term touring.

Engine

699 c.c DOHC liquid cooled fuel injected 4-stroke, inline 2 cylinders, 8 valves, 76.9 mm bore, 75.3 mm stroke, compress rate 10.5, maximum horsepower 55ps. maximum torque 6.5kgf-M.

Adopt Close-Loop EFI system, follow EURO-3 regulation, top speed over 170 km/h, add ISC (IDLE Speed Control) system provide for cold weather to enhance the performance of ignition while the engine is cooling.

Engine balance system: Twin balance shaft designed to reduce engine vibration and improve rider comfort.

Transmission system: All new high strength material belt designed to match short CVT layout, increasing transmission efficiency.

Cooling system: The square aluminum oil radiator can enhance cooling efficiency and increases engine life.

Chassis

Suspension: Electronic Damping system.

Shift the control switch located on the right hand side of switch combination. The electrical adjustable system will adjust by a motor mounted on the tip of rear suspension. There are three positions of damping, soft, medium and hard, The Electronic Damping system can be operated while riding or parked.

The dashboard will show the current position, "S" Soft, "M" Medium and "H" Hard.

Equipment

Keyless system:

State of the art keyless technology replaces traditional lock and key system.

With the IC sensor in the rider's pocket, the ignition can be started if the rider is within 1.5 meters of the scooter.

Speedometer

Needle indicator with Digital micro step motor; LCD monitor, combined multi-functional indicator including fuel indicator, all follow the original design concept of MYROAD 700i and integrate functional warning lights into the dashboard. Tyre pressure, suspension system, temperature of liquid cooling system, low battery, engine check, trip meter, tachometer....ect, all necessary information can be read from the multi-functional dashboard.

Tire Pressure Monitor

To mount the tyre sensor in tyre body and show current tyre pressure on the monitor while the controller received the signal sent from the tyre sensor. The system can provide four settings for a variety of user needs. To enhance rider's safety, the tyre monitor will feed back current tyre pressure to check the pressure and will show the signal by flashing on the dashboard when the tyre pressure is either under or over the standard pressure setting.
